Arsenal vs PSG Final Preview: Key Players, Tactics, and Predictions

Fri, 15th May, 2026

Arsenal vs PSG, the final of the UEFA Champions League is set for 30th May, 2026 and it will bring a close to the club season in what we expect to be an exciting match.

The game is going to be played at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary. It is a first final for Arsenal in 20 years and a second in consecutive seasons for PSG.

PSG are looking to be the second club in the Champions League era that could successfully defend their title after Real Madrid did so thrice between 2016 and 2018.

Arsenal, who were runners-up in 2006 are going to become the 25th club to lift the trophy and this is going to be their first ever European trophy. Let look at how each team made it to the final.

Road to Budapest

Arsenal are unbeaten after 14 Champions League matches this season. They beat Atletico Madrid in the semi-final 2-1 on aggregate to make it to the final.

It shows that they are defensively resolute and organized. For Arsenal, they do not need all the chances but will convert one or two important ones and it could seal the game.

PSG, on the other hand, had to do it the hard way. They survived a goalfest with German Champions Bayern Munich in the semifinals in a 6-5 thriller. The first leg was a chaotic 5-4 and then a 1-1 draw in Munich.

A very important thing that PSG has over Arsenal is that they have European pedigree and are familiar with knockout stage drama.

Team News & Injuries

Arsenal: Ben White and Jurrien Timber are out and there is only a little hope for the return on Timber otherwise, Arteta will have to choose either Christian Mosquera or Hincapie to fill the right back position.

Mikel Merino is out for the gunners too.

And there have been injury concerns for players like Saka, Odegaard, and Havertz who are important for Arsenal.

PSG: Achraf Hakimi is expected to be fit and return for the final and since PSG have won the Ligue 1 with one game in hand, they do not have a difficult run in like Arsenal.

Enrique could be boosted by the presence of a complete and fully fit squad.

Arsenal vs PSG Champions League Final Predictions

PSG are favorites to win this and their attack is expected to be resolute against Arsenal’s defensive structure that has carried them to the final.

The total goals market leans more cautiously. Arsenal’s six UCL knockout games have produced just 8 goals and PSG were able to keep a clean sheet in the final which means signs are pointing to an under 3.5 goals count.

The suggested scoreline could be a 1-0 or 2-1 win for PSG but Arsenal cannot be ruled out especially if they can get Timber back and have a fully fit Saka, Havertz, and Odegaard.
